We collect the following types of information when you use DecideIQ:
- Email address and display name (provided during account creation)
- Decision descriptions and conversation data you submit for analysis
- Analysis reports and results generated by the service
- App usage and interaction data (e.g., features used, session duration)
- Device information and IP address (collected for security and fraud prevention)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve decision analysis functionality
- Generate personalized AI-powered recommendations
- Maintain and improve service quality and performance
- Send service communications (account updates, security alerts)
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI Processing
Decision data you submit is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Per Anthropic's API terms, data sent via the API is not used to train their models.
AI-generated analyses are stored alongside your decision data so you can revisit results at any time. We do not use your data to train our own models.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest
- All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+
- Row-level security ensures only you can access your data
- Authentication tokens are stored securely
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- You can delete individual decisions at any time
- Account deletion removes all associated data permanently
- We may retain anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you
6. Third-Party Services
DecideIQ relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Anthropic — AI processing via the Claude API
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Expo / EAS — app distribution
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your decision data
- Opt out of non-essential communications
8. Children's Privacy
DecideIQ is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of DecideIQ after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
